Mech-Tech was founded by Manie Lombaard towards the end of 1991 and was registered as a close corporation in January 1992. Prior to Founding Mech-Tech, Manie was qualified as trade as a Turner and Machinist for 12 years and had a separate four years experience in the tool making industry (Huletts Aluminum), he then entered the sales industry for another four years, from which he moved on and founded his own company.
We specialize in the supply of machine tools, mainly in the province of Kwa-Zulu Natal, although we have many satisfied clients nationwide. Our client base of around 2000 clients incorporates mainly the engineering industry. Mech-Tech has also successfully been involved in securing business from abroad.
Our company is involved with a network of businesses in different provinces throughout the country, that have the ability to pass enquiries from one province to another for ease of control, maintenance, service and after-sales service.
We have recently celebrated our 17th year of trading, and are well on our way into the future.
Mech-Tech has actively been involved in playing a major role in an advisory capacity, as well as the supply of various machine tools to various training centers and facilities in our province.

Except for the admin/office staff and the sales staff, we do employ a sales manager that is responsible for the day to day running and organizing of the company.

- Full Time, Qualified, Machine Tool Service Technician (On the team for 2 years)
- Two full time Machine Fitters (8 years and 2 year respectively with the company.)
- We also employ on a contract basis the following:
- Two Qualified Electrical/Electronic service Technicians to assist us in the service work, Field Maintenance, Installation and Commissioning supplied over the past 14 years.
Over the years we have also been successfully been contracted to do service and maintenance work outside our country borders, namely: Madagascar, Angola, Mozambique, Swaziland, Germany, Antwerp, and a few more.
